Loyalty Programme Participation Terms — RewardIf
By registering for or using the RewardIf platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the platform.
This document governs your participation in a loyalty programme powered by the RewardIf platform, and explains how your personal information is collected, used, and protected. Please read it carefully before enrolling.
RewardIf is a digital loyalty platform provided by RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 54 679 038 058), trading as RewardIf ("RewardIf", "we", "us"). RewardIf provides technology services to businesses ("Merchants") that operate customer loyalty programmes.
When you enrol in a loyalty programme at a participating Merchant, that programme is operated by the Merchant. RewardIf is the technology provider that powers the programme on the Merchant's behalf.
These terms govern: (a) your rights and obligations as a loyalty programme member; and (b) how your personal information is handled by both the Merchant and RewardIf.
The loyalty programme you are joining is operated by the Merchant (the business where you enrolled), not by RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd or RewardIf. The Merchant sets the programme rules, manages your rewards, and is your primary point of contact for loyalty enquiries.
"Merchant" means the business whose loyalty programme you are enrolling in.
"RewardIf" or "we" means RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 54 679 038 058), trading as RewardIf.
"Programme" means the Merchant's loyalty programme powered by the RewardIf platform.
"Member" or "you" means the individual enrolling in or participating in the Programme.
"Personal Information" has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
You can join a Merchant's loyalty programme by providing one or more of the following:
By providing your contact details and completing enrolment, you are: (a) agreeing to these terms; (b) consenting to the Merchant contacting you about your loyalty account via SMS and/or email; and (c) acknowledging that RewardIf processes your data on the Merchant's behalf as described in this document.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not enrol. Enrolment is entirely voluntary.
You must be at least 16 years of age to independently enrol in a loyalty programme via the RewardIf platform. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must enrol on your behalf and consent on your behalf. By enrolling, you confirm you are at least 16 years old.
You must provide accurate information at enrolment. Providing false contact details or vehicle registration numbers may result in your account being closed and any accumulated points forfeited at the Merchant's discretion.
When you enrol and use the Programme, the following personal information may be collected and stored on the RewardIf platform:
Personal information is collected directly from you at enrolment, and automatically through your loyalty transactions at participating Merchant locations. We collect only what is reasonably necessary to operate your loyalty account.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act, including health, racial, or financial information) through the loyalty programme. If you inadvertently provide such information, we will not use it beyond what is strictly necessary to respond to you.
Your personal information is used to:
We will not use your information for purposes materially different from those above without obtaining your additional consent.
The Merchant whose programme you have joined has access to your loyalty account data, including your contact details, transaction history, and reward balance, for the purpose of operating the Programme.
RewardIf accesses and processes your data as a technology service provider acting on the Merchant's behalf. RewardIf staff may access account data only for platform support, security, fraud investigation, and maintenance purposes.
To operate the Platform, RewardIf uses trusted third-party service providers for SMS delivery, email delivery, and cloud hosting. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data processing obligations. Your data is not shared with sub-processors for their own commercial purposes.
Your information may be disclosed where required by Australian law, a court order, or a regulatory authority (e.g. the OAIC or ACMA). Where legally permissible, we will notify the Merchant before any such disclosure.
If RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd or the Merchant is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the receiving party agreeing to handle it in accordance with applicable privacy law and these terms.
Neither the Merchant nor RewardIf (RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd) will sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own commercial purposes. Your data is used solely to operate the loyalty programme.
By enrolling, you may receive from the Merchant:
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS. Opt-out requests are processed within 5 business days. After opting out, you will no longer receive marketing SMS, but may still receive critical transactional messages (e.g. a one-time PIN for account access) where strictly necessary.
You may unsubscribe from email communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting the Merchant or RewardIf at legal@rewardif.com.
Opting out of communications does not close your loyalty account or cause forfeiture of earned points. Your data will be retained unless you also request account deletion under clause 10.
If you opt out and later wish to receive communications again, you may re-consent by contacting the Merchant directly.
The specific rules of the loyalty programme — including how points are earned, their value, reward thresholds, expiry dates, and redemption conditions — are set entirely by the Merchant. Please refer to the Merchant's in-store materials, signage, or website for the full programme rules. RewardIf has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the Merchant's programme rules.
Points, stamps, and loyalty rewards have no cash value and cannot be converted to, redeemed for, or exchanged for cash or cash equivalents. Rewards are non-transferable, cannot be sold, gifted, or bartered, and have no value outside the specific Merchant's programme.
The Merchant may modify, suspend, or terminate their loyalty programme at any time. RewardIf may also cease to provide the Platform to the Merchant. In either case, we will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice. RewardIf is not responsible for any loss you suffer as a result of programme changes or termination.
If the Merchant or RewardIf reasonably suspects that your account has been used fraudulently, to exploit programme rules unfairly, or in breach of these terms, the Merchant or RewardIf (acting on the Merchant's behalf) may: (a) suspend your account pending investigation; (b) void fraudulently obtained points or rewards; and (c) permanently close your account. RewardIf accepts no liability for actions taken against fraudulent accounts.
The Merchant may apply an inactivity policy to your account (e.g. expiring points after a defined period of inactivity). Any such policy will be disclosed in the Merchant's programme rules.
RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information, including data encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
While we take security seriously, you acknowledge that no internet-connected system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your enrolment contact details current and for not sharing any access codes or PINs sent to you. If you believe your account has been accessed without your authority, please contact the Merchant or RewardIf immediately at legal@rewardif.com.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact the Merchant directly or email RewardIf at legal@rewardif.com. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and respond within 30 days (or as required by law). We will not charge you for making a reasonable access or correction request.
If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
Your loyalty account data is retained for as long as you are an active member of the Merchant's programme, plus a reasonable period thereafter (generally 12 months) for dispute resolution and legal compliance purposes.
If you request account deletion, your personal information will be removed from active systems within 30 days of your request, subject to any legal retention obligations (e.g. tax records, fraud prevention records). Encrypted backups may retain data for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
If the Merchant closes their RewardIf account, your loyalty data will be retained for 30 days to allow the Merchant to export records, then permanently deleted.
RSquared Solutions Pty Ltd's liability to you as a loyalty programme member is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. RewardIf is a technology provider operating on the Merchant's behalf and is not responsible for the Merchant's programme rules, reward offerings, or business decisions.
RewardIf is not liable for: (a) the Merchant's failure to honour rewards; (b) programme changes made by the Merchant; (c) the Merchant's cessation of business; (d) loss of points due to account inactivity per the Merchant's programme rules; or (e) any indirect or consequential loss you suffer in connection with the Programme.
Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
RewardIf may update these Customer Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted at rewardif.com/customer-terms and, where material changes are made, we will notify you via the Merchant's next communication to you or by direct email if we hold your email address. Continued participation in the Programme after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance.
